Mia's Nursery
Well, here are some pictures that show the beginnings of Mia's room starting to look like a room. For right now, I sort of just found things from around the house to put in the shelves, just so it wouldn't look empty. My first baby shower is in a few weeks, so I'm sure after that, I'll have more things to add. I am on a hunt right now for items that are more red than pink to decorate with, which is hard for a baby girl's room Most things you find are pink. The most important thing to me, is knowing that with only 8 weeks to go, IF she makes it to her due date, she has a bed, brand new bedding, washed and clean, and ONE package of diapers! Haha! Guess we should start buying more! Don't study these pics too much, because since this was our "junk room" before we got pregnant, we are still working on getting all of the junk OUT and finding new homes for it all! Mostly it's would up in Goodwill bags. It's amazing how much you realize you don't need anymore once a new life is coming into your life! The teddy bear next to the lamp was one of my favorite teddy bears growing up that my parents bought me in Colorado on vacation. It's so fun having a place to put out some of my old things that I have always held on to.
This room was an office when we bought the house. It hasn't left us with much room, but with all of the cabinets and storage, I think it's going to work out great! We do have a spot for my rocker, once we finish getting the rest of the "junk" out of here. It's sort of hard to tell by the pictures, but on the red bumper pad there are tiny little dragonflies, her mobile is red dragonflies, so that's why we put the red dragonfly on the wall with her name.
My friend, Ashley, that I went to school with at University of Arkansas made this canvas for Mia's room. It's so perfect! She and I talked a bit about my colors, theme, etc, and she did such wonderful job! It's such an important part of her room! Thank you so much, Ashley.
