Mia Evelynn....Almost 4!

I am wanting so badly to catch up on my blog, as I have pictures back from Halloween to catch up on. However, for tonight, I'll just post my one new favorite picture of my sweet girl. This picture is a perfect portrait of our Mia. Her sweet smile....her sweet face..and doing her most favorite thing in her favorite "Nana Shirt"! Mia LOVES to swing!!! It makes her giggle uncontrollably, and that is, by far, my most favorite sound. This was taken on Thanksgiving. I sure do love this little girl!

This pregnancy has just flown by for me! We only have about 9 weeks to go! I am so ready to meet her, yet still have so much to do in order to feel like everything is perfect and ready for her arrival! On my last appt. she was a busy girl!! Moving, moving,moving! She is still breech, which I assume is not a big deal, seems how she will be another C-Section baby. I do wish she would turn around (which I can't remember exactly when that happens), because where her feet are right now is taking a toll on my bladder! ;) Last Tuesday we were able to go for our 3D sonogram. Just like with Mia's, I was in awe. She was beautiful, and from what we see, we think she looks a LOT like our Mia. She opened her mouth a few times, and put her fingers in her mouth. She was very sleepy and still. Her busy times are in the evenings, and she has gotten pretty still during the day. I think she might be starting to get a little cramped. My belly has grown a lot during the last month or so. So far (for my records) I have gained 13 lbs, and at this point in my pregnancy with Mia I had gained 11....so I think my weight gain has been somewhat similar, although I did NOT weight 125 lbs at the start of my pregnancy like I was with Mia. Good grief!! Really??? Will I ever see that weight, again?  Just this week I am starting to have a little insomnia. I just can't seem to get comfortable, and the trips to the restroom are CRAZY! All so worth it in the grand scheme of things, but I am starting to feel pretty tired! I can feel myself slowing down now, just with my everyday activities. Mia is still so very excited about becoming a big sister! I sure hope it stays that way. I know it will be hard on her when the baby arrives. We are preparing for Mia's 4th birthday in a few weeks. That is so hard to believe!

 

Well, I did not plan on writing this much on this post, but I feel as though I have not documented as much with this baby as I did with Mia. I don't want to forget the details. I love all my girls. So crazy that in 2013 we will be sending my step daughter off to college (wow), soaking up my last year with one before Kingergarten 2013-2014 will be her last year of preschool, and welcoming a new little one! Wow. God has blessed me richly!

Doris Evelyn Marris Morgan, 94, of Burnet died Sept. 4, 2012. She was born on July 14, 1918,

in Thorndale to Henry Albert and Alice Amanda Baker Marris.

She was a member of First Baptist Church of Burnet.

Survivors include daughter Victoria Sue Morgan Barho and husband Jimmy of Burnet;

 

 son Mark David Morgan and wife Phyllis of Wolf City;

 

sister Ima Burks of Conroe;

 

brother-in-law A.M. Salvo of Corpus Christi;

 

sister-in-law Emma June Morgan of Burnet;

 

grandchildren Jimmy Leo Barho Jr. of Georgetown, Kathrine LaJan Barho Steffek of Marble Falls,

 

Deborah Sue Barho Sampson of Lacey, Wash.,

 

and Carrie Ann Morgan Hope and Melissa Morgan Pitzer, both of

Sherman;

 

great-grandchildren Jimmy Leo Barho III of Georgetown, Nickolas Ray Steffek, Derek

Ray Steffek, and Hunter Ray Steffek, all of Marble Falls, Hannah Morgan Sampson of Lacey,

Wash.,

She was preceded in death by her husband Joe Bob Morgan; her parents; and sisters Opal

Beall, Alice Alberta Salvo and Ruby Lee Watson.

Family visitation is 6-8 p.m. Sept. 7 at Clements Wilcox Funeral Home, 306 Texas 29 East in

Burnet, (512) 756-2222. A graveside service is 2 p.m. Sept. 8 at Hillcrest Memorial Park in

Dallas.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Mothers Against Drunk Driving; First

Baptist Church of Burnet, 102 S. Vanderveer, Burnet, TX 78611; or to a charity of choice.

The family wishes to thank the staff at Oaks Nursing Home in Burnet for their care.

When my Meme moved from the home that I spent so much time in growing up, into a Retirement home, she offered me her sweet hutch, the one that kept all of her cookbooks, my Papa's silverware from the Army, holiday trinkets, etc. I have yet to put anything in the storage at the bottom, and this silly girl has found a new place to spend time ;)

 

 

I just realized that I haven't even written a post about our newest baby, Gypsy. I will do that soon. She was a rescue who needed a safe home so badly. She was one of the best decisions we have made. She is just as sweet of a girl as our Cleo, and we are so lucky to have her. Here she is with Mia in our blanket basket! Cleo was sitting close, as well...because Mia was passing our goldfish ;)

 

State Fair of Texas 2012

A few weeks ago we went to the State Fair with Mia's best friends, Marley and Casey, just  like we did last year. It was a fun day, despite the fact that we did not realize that we planned to go on the same day as the TX/OU game. It was really quite pleasant while all of the game folks were inside the Cotton Bowl for the game, but it did get a little crazy after the game let out. There were a lot of stumbling, beer drinking, cussing college boys, and even grown adults all around us, but we soon figured out that if we steered clear of the Midway, it was much better. This year we decided to try the wagon idea that we saw last year. The girls LOVED it! It has it's perks, and it's disadvantages. It was really nice that they could just stretch out, and enjoy the ride. It was nice to have a place to put everything, and not have to carry anything on my shoulder, but sometimes when it got really crowded, it was more difficult. It's really sad to think that only a week later, our beloved Big Tex burned to the ground :( As silly as this sounds, that really made me feel sad. Big Tex has been a symbol of all of the sweet memories made in my childhood at the Fair with my parents and my sister. I know they will re-build a new one for next year, but still just so sad. This was Big Tex's 60th birthday. I'm glad that Mia got to see him one more time before he burned down. Also, being almost 6 months pregnant on this trip posed some new difficulties. For instance, having a bladder that only lasts about 30-45 minutes, and restrooms being so far apart, and with super long lines. I tired out a little easier this time, as well....but all in all...it was a great trip!

I'm so glad we got to see him one last time. I wonder what the new one will look like? I hope just the same!

 

This next picture cracks me up! Marley and Casey's wagon was squeaking, so Lili took the greasy wrapper from Mia's corn dog to grease the wagon! Haha!

This Chinese Dragon was amazing! When we got up close, we saw that it was made from porcelin dishes! Truly incredible. Plates, spoons, etc...

After this ride, the girls were very much done. They had a great time, but were very sleepy! Until next year, Big Tex....and next year we'll have a new little girl to show everything to! :)
