Mia's new butterfly "sleeping bag". The pillow is the butterfly's head...and it's super cute! Thought our sick day today was a good day to pull it out :)

My sick girl...
My sweet Mia is sick today. We have an ear infection, along with an upper respiratory infection.
As you can see, Cleo is taking good care of her...
The 2012 Bacon Sizzle-Ramma
Our friends Lili and Rachel throw an annual Bacon Sizzle-Ramma party. Sounds crazy, right? Well, it is, and they are just the type of fun people who would think of an idea like this. They say, that turkey gets all of the credit over the holidays, so they wanted to give bacon it's very own holiday. Haha! Everyone that comes brings their own bacon dish, there is a race called "Race for the Cured", some people wore bacon attire, there were songs, prizes...it was hilarious, and lots of fun! My family had an excuse to pull out all of our Razorback gear...that's the best that I could come up with, along with tying a dog treat...a Beggin' Strip around my neck like a necklace. I never DREAMED there could have been as many amazing bacon dishes as there were at the Sizzle-Rama!
I thought this was a great idea! They had everyone write down their dish, and how much bacon they used to make it..so they could tally up just how much bacon was used.
They never forget the girls, and they had made a house out of a huge cardboard box to help entertain the little ones.
Here is a video of the "Sizzle-rettes" performing a bacon song!

Great party...which ended up with us getting stuck in the mud in my car afterwards. We had to get pulled out. Just to note...I was a good wife...and did NOT say "I told you so" ;)
Warm January!
We have been having an unseasonably warm winter this year! Here is Mia having a snack and playing outside in January on a 70 degree day!
Our Pet Turtle
Last summer, we had the cutest pet! See, because I can turn no hungry animal away, I always leave a bowl of cat food on our front porch for a beautiful orange cat that always comes to see us every day..plus a few other strays that like to stop by for a meal. Well, I started noticing this turtle, who kept coming up on our porch, about the SAME TIME every single morning, eating cat food, and going straight back across my lawn to my neighbor, Sarah's house, to hide back under her shaded ground cover. It was the cutest thing! He came EVERY day! Towards the end of the summer, he slowly stopped coming. It made me sad, but I just like to think that he just found himself an even better home :)
Here is a video, of our turtle, after his meal, heading back over to my neighbor's house. It drove Cleo CRAZY! ;)

Mia's Alarm Clock Dog! :)
Each day, when I go in to wake Mia up from her afternoon nap, Cleo loves to hop in her bed and wait for her to wake up. It always makes Mia smile :)
Sweet Cleo girl...
Dress Up Time!
Two Christmases ago, my parents' gave Mia a dress-up trunk, with some cute little outfits and accessories that came with it. This year, I added a Snow White dress to her collection, and my parents gave her dress up shoes. Boy has this trunk become her FAVORITE thing during these cold days at home!
This Christmas, Kelley got a new phone, so we decided to let Mia have his old one, with all of her toddler/preschool apps and music. She loves to put on a dress, play "I've Been Workin on the Railroad" and spin in circles! Haha!
This picture cracks me up, with Cleo watching from outside. She HAS a doggy door, she was not stuck outside. Sometimes she likes to lie just outside the door so she can cool off, while still having an eye on what's going on inside!
Nothing like not realizing until you see photos on a computer how many fingerprints exist on your furniture and tv's!
Last OLD post...our first day/week at University of Gymnastics
Although these are pretty old, I did not want to forget to post about Mia and I's first day at our new school, University of Gymnastics Learning Academy. It's a preschool/gymnastics school all together!
We both just love it!
Mia's lunchbox :)
Standing outside, about to leave for our first day!
Hahaha! I caught Mia wearing a pair of my gloves, and "changing the bear's poopy"
Feel blessed for my wonderful job, the closeness I have with the girls that I work with, and how much Mia loves school, and ADORES all of the girls that I work with. It makes this momma happy!
Fire Day at University of Gymnastics Learning Academy :)
These were taken back in October 2011 (I am ALMOST caught up now)
I have a good friend from high school who is the fire marshall here in Grayson County, so he sent some of his guys to come and visit our kids during fire prevention week.
Getting ready to go and see the fire truck!
As you can see here, another episode of "stranger danger" was going on with Mia and fireman sitting next to her! Haha! Also, the red hat on the ground was the one she was too afraid to put on! Oh, silly Mia! :)
It always amazes me how afraid Mia can be of someone one minute, then not the next. Here she is, now walking alone with one of the firemen.
The firemen driving off, and turning their lights on for them :)
